Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2019 Community Conversations with Veterans initiative. The 2019 infographic shows a summary of library and community participants. We are excited to continue this partnership with Veterans Connect @ the Library into 2020.
Library staff members interested in creating community partnerships and engaging with veterans, their families, and the community should apply to join us. Libraries who currently provide, or plan to provide, Veterans Resource Centers are given preference in the application. Please check out the Community Conversations with Veterans page and toolkit and drop in to ask questions or share your thoughts during the CCFB Program Drop In Zoom on Wednesday, 8/7/2019.
We’re looking forward to kicking off 2020 programming with the 20 selected libraries at a new, in person Orientation held 10/24/2019 during CLA Pre-Conference. Travel support is available, pre-conference sessions are free.
We also welcome input on the 2020 Veterans Booklist. What titles might help spark conversations in your community? 2020 Community Conversations with Veterans with applications are due 8/15/2019. Please reach out if you have any questions.
