A Shout-Out to the California History Room

The California State Library includes a major collection called the California History Section — every kind of document imaginable, all from and about California’s rich history.  In the California History Room you’ll find books, maps and periodicals, as you might expect, but you’ll also have access to a treasure trove of daguerreotypes, posters, programs, sheet music — and menus!  Researchers of all types are welcome, but it’s also great fun to browse the collection just to see what you might find.   You can visit the collection online athttp://www.library.ca.gov/calhist/index1.html or at 900 N Street in downtown Sacramento.
